Senior Pega QA Analyst

HarmonyTech is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pega System Tester / Data Analyst, to work within a team to drive the development and delivery of Pega applications.  The System Tester / Data Analyst serves as a customer representative writing user stories, identifying functional problems, and working with a cross-functional team to research business problems and suggest possible resolutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with strategy, planning, and testing of user stories. The individual filling this role will work directly with the customer and development teams to understand and build out the appropriate test cases.  We are looking for someone who has a strong initiative, is eager to learn, and can work both independently and as a team member. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and interact in a service-oriented environment.

Position is available in McLean, VA location (no telework), requires public trust clearance, and US citizenship.


  • Perform effectively in an Agile environment with experience working with Agile (Scrum, Kanban) methodologies
  • Work closely with software developers, business analysts, and program manager to ensure deliverables meet all objectives
  • Verify and validate software products in accordance with customer requirements and user needs
  • Document requirements in the form of user stories
  • Interact daily with supervisors and/or functional peer groups
  • Provide analysis of complex systems
  • Utilize experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Client interaction including daily contact across multiple teams and personnel
  • Notifies PM of critical risks and issues helping to resolve in a timely manner
  • Experience with several relational database technologies including Oracle
  • Peer review deliverables prepared by other team members
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must possess data analysis/management skills
  • Experience reviewing and documenting requirements
  • Experience with writing Test Plans and Acceptance Test Plans
  • Experience in writing Test Cases
  • Experience analyzing data and creating test data sets
  • Demonstrates the experience and ability to work without technical oversight
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Helix
  • Exposure to CMMI and Quality Assurance for software application


  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or demonstrated years of experience
  • 2 years of Pega or another BPM experience
  • 5+ years of experience in related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in a business process design, technical/business analyst role providing technical solution guidance
  • 3+ years’ experience in design and implementation of Application, Integration, and Data Architectures.


  • Pega LBA certification is preferred but not required
  • Experience working with the federal government
  • Existing Public Trust with Department of Justice or Department of Homeland Security
  • Experience working in Criminal Justice
  • Experience with Linux a plus
  • Experience with RoboHelp a plus
